The San Diego Eckhart Tolle Meetup--Continue Your Awakening Journey Meeting

Dear Kindred Spirits,

Continuing with our regular format, we will begin and end the meeting with a five-minute meditation using one of Tolle's "Gateways to the Now" techniques.

The opening meditation will be followed by a 12-minute excerpt from a recent in-depth Tolle retreat, "Realizing the Power of Now." In this exceptional segment, Tolle succinctly describes each of the Gateways to Now.

Next will be an open sharing, focusing on questions, comments and discussion of any challenges to practicing Presence in our life this past week. In response to one member's question, we'll also discuss Tolle's definition of "the pain body."

If time permits, we'll play another excerpt from "Realizing the Power of Now," before our closing meditation.

As usual, RSVP's are limited to 15 to ensure a small enough group that allows each member to meaningfully share and participate in the group. This helps maximize everyone's learning experience.

[And now, a footnote of sorts: Since fees are somewhat uncommon with Meetup groups, I wanted to share my rationale in requesting a $5.00 love offering. I offer 20 years professional experience in group psychotherapy and have studied and practiced many meditation techniques for 30 years, including the past five years of Tolle study and sharing. Lastly, you may be interested to hear that research shows that we enjoy more and learn more from experiences that we pay for. Our mind doesn't value "free" experiences as much, and consequently we get less out of them.]
